UMI Enters into Memorandum of Understanding with OIST to Promote Industry-Academia Collaboration

Universal Materials Incubator Co., Ltd. (UMI), a venture capital firm specializing in the materials and chemical industries, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) to promote industry-academia collaboration.

 

Under the memorandum, OIST and UMI will promote industry-academia collaboration by supporting OIST’s Proof of Concept (POC) projects, Accelerator Program, and Incubator tenants, while also engaging in the reciprocal exchange of mentors and experts to foster knowledge sharing and capacity building.

 

UMI will contribute to the commercialization of research outcomes and the creation of new businesses.
