UMI to participate in New Business Creation/Development Taskforce for selection of GX strategic regions in Yamaguchi Pref.

Universal Materials Incubator Co., Ltd. (UMI), along with Dream Incubator Inc. and the Yamaguchi Financial Group, Inc., will participate in a “New Business Creation/Development Taskforce” established by Yamaguchi Prefecture to promote studies targeting the selection of GX (Green Transformation) strategic regions.

Yamaguchi Prefecture established the New Business Creation/Development Taskforce to investigate and study initiatives involving the maintenance of business environments and the promotion of investments using various systems, such as GX Strategy Regions and National Strategic Special Zones, aimed at attracting and developing startup companies and creating new GX-oriented businesses throughout the Prefecture, and particularly in industrial complex areas.

UMI, a venture capital company specializing in the material and chemical industries, conducts investment activities and fosters material startups with a focus on these fields. It also collaborates with universities, research institutions, startup companies, and large corporations, serving as a platform for the creation of new business in the materials and chemical industries. As one of the companies comprising the New Business Creation/Development Taskforce, UMI will leverage its past experience as it strives to contribute to the growth and development of industry in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
